If you run several stores, brands or language markets, one AI agent with mixed knowledge gives mixed answers. Text lets you create a separate agent for each site or use case and route chats to the right one.

Common setups
| Setup | Example |
|---|---|
| One agent per website | Brand A store and Brand B store |
| One agent per language | English agent and German agent |
| One agent per job | Sales agent on pricing pages, support agent in the help center |
Step-by-step: set up multiple agents
Step 1: Check your plan
Every license includes one AI agent. Multiple agents are available on Growth (up to 10) and Enterprise.
Step 2: Create a team for each agent
Routing sends chats to teams, so create one team per website, brand or language first.
Step 3: Add an agent for each site or use case
Go to Team → AI agents and add a new agent. Give each a clear internal name, such as “Store A – Sales”.
Step 4: Give each agent its own knowledge
Add only the website, files and articles for that brand or language. Shared knowledge is the main cause of wrong answers in multi-brand setups.
Step 5: Set tone, instructions and languages per agent
A luxury brand and a budget store need different tones. Use our instruction templates and set the language list for each agent.
Step 6: Create chat routing rules
Go to Settings → Routing → Chat routing. Add conditions based on page URL, website domain or customer country and choose the team that should receive those chats.
Step 7: Test every website
Open each site, start a chat and confirm the right agent answers with the right knowledge.
Within a team, Priority decides which agent gets chats first: Primary agents before Backup agents.

Frequently asked questions
Can I run multiple AI agents on the Essential plan?
No. Essential includes one AI agent. Multiple agents require Growth or Enterprise.
Do I need multiple agents for multiple languages?
Not always. One agent can answer in many languages. Use separate agents when each market has different products, prices or policies.
Wrap-up
