Removing furniture from a photo used to take careful Photoshop work. With AI furniture removal you brush over the items you want gone and the AI fills the space with matching floor and wall.
Use it to empty a room before virtual staging, to declutter listing photos, or to see how a room feels without that old sofa.

Step-by-step: remove furniture with AI
Step 1: Upload a high-quality photo
Use a clear, well-lit, high-resolution photo of the room.
Step 2: Set up the brush
In the right-hand menu, set the brush size, shape and mode. A bigger brush is faster for large pieces; a smaller one is better near edges.
Step 3: Paint over what to remove
Trace each piece of furniture or decor with the brush, staying close to its edges.
Do not select walls, windows or doors; removing structure makes results look unrealistic.
Step 4: Refine the mask
Switch between Brush Selection (Add Masking) and Brush De-Selection (Remove Masking) to add or remove areas from the selection.
Step 5: Generate 1–4 versions
Choose how many designs to generate and click Generate New Designs.
Step 6: Review and fix rough spots
Zoom in on the result. If a shadow or edge remains, brush that area and generate again.
Step 7: Enhance in HD
Click HD to sharpen the cleaned-up room, then download or move on to staging.
Quick alternative: one-click declutter
In the Interiors workspace, the Declutter tool’s Remove setting offers Furniture, Clutter & small items, People, or Everything (empty the room). Use it when you want to clear a whole category at once instead of brushing items one by one.
