Landscaping is expensive and slow to change once it is in the ground. AI garden redesign lets you test a modern patio, a tropical pool area or a vegetable garden on a photo of your own yard first.
Follow these steps with HomeDesigns AI’s Gardens workspace.

Step-by-step: redesign your garden
Step 1: Upload a daylight photo of the yard
Stand at the edge of the space and shoot level, in daylight, so the whole area is visible.
Step 2: Choose the Gardens workspace
Select Gardens and the Garden Redesign tool.
Step 3: Pick the garden type
Choose Backyard, Patio, Terrace, Front Yard, Garden, Courtyard, Pool Area, Porch or Playground.
Step 4: Pick a style
Try Modern, City, Contemporary, Luxury, Small, Vegetable, Low Budget, Beach or Tropical.
Add “small” or “big” to your instructions to help the AI get the scale right.
Step 5: Set AI Intervention and instructions
Keep the level low to keep fences, the house and trees in place. In Additional Instructions, name features such as “stone patio, built-in seating, olive trees, warm string lights”.
Step 6: Generate 1–4 designs
Click Generate New Designs.
Step 7: Change the sky or make a video
Use Sky & Weather Swap (Pro) to see it at golden hour, or Video Walkthrough (Expert) to share a short tour with your landscaper.
